Effectively , regularly and transparently communicate with them. Use data as an evidence to support the initiative. All stakeholders need ease of work and improvement's of performance We should understand the need for each stakeholder and manage the expectations to get what is required from each to support you in your project

Understanding of stakeholders is equally crucial as understanding the deliverables. Budling trust and collaborative environment is essential and towards the success. Communication has to be very precise and becomes one of the biggest asset , making sure how to present and approach and translating it in language that helps the team to see vision for the entire team through your communication should be practiced. Also the priority should always be the best outcome and best result for the project

Alignment is absolutely key. Who are the stakeholders and what are their aims and objectives? Ideally speak to them directly to capture what the “best outcome is” Where is there consensus and alignment and where is there likely to be friction.

If you don’t have a relationship to your stakeholders you need to get on their calendar and ask their advice on a related subject. Tap into their knowledge and get their guidance on how to manouver!!

If it doesn't work, that's okay, at least you had fun building the prototype and learnt something from it.

This needs to be high level experience not granular as that will disengage.

This builds confidence in your suggestions and gives more tangible framing to the ideas presented. Especially true for when you feel contrary to a proposal or idea; clearly define a test use case or discuss how to actually test the opposing perspective. As leadership the contrast of information can help to instinctively rule out concepts.

When you present a pitch it should already have a built in timeline for follow up. Prepare in advance and give the timeline in your presentation so the team can immediately expect how and when you will follow up. Give clear and precise reasons for your plan to follow up so they understand your motivation. This allows the senior stakeholders to respond to you in the moment to reschedule if necessary and more importantly allows them to be prepared when you do follow up. Persistence apart from clear communication in advance can come across as badgering, especially if the senior leadership have tight schedules.

It is important to keep in mind that many solutions may have negative repercussions over time. Therefore, documenting each solution and the expected long-term results is crucial. It is important to be completely transparent. Additionally, it is important to be able to show “proof of value” or roi estimated for the project. I also like to shop the idea around to other C suite executives and get their buy-in as well as their feedback. This is important as it will help sell the project if all of leadership is already bought in. This way when you present to the CEO/President they will support your project as they are invested in the success of the initiative.

Word of Warning: Senior leaders are both very busy and very focused on what they want, and need. A lot of the time, presenting your needs to them will do little for you. A good approach is to understand them as customers and use the same thinking to win them over. This may sound cold, and of course it does not apply across the board. I am good friends with many of my stakeholders and this is by far the best approach but if in doubt, the key is to understand what is valuable to them.
