This is where I think, diversity, creativity, and self-leaders are key to a good team. I’m not a fan of managers who hire only “yes men or women” and like-minded folks. I want somebody who thinks completely different than I do to challenge me and vice versa. Otherwise, there’s no growth.

I am not a mvp fan. What if you have something they have never seen? What if your product is not MVPable. MVP works if your product is recognizable variant of extant tech. What if it has never been seen before? What if your product is culturing and growing human neurons? The dogma that ruled the day said neurons don't divide. What kind of feedback would one expect? Extreme caution? Frank disbelief? The negative market feedback would deflate anyone. This was a real world case. We talked to every pharma and biotech in the world. We found 1 research director who shared our enthusiasm. We did a deal. Twenty years everyone accepts the neuronal progenitor cells. We kept at it when the market said we were nuts. I am glad that we did.

This is so true. Don’t waste time building things that nobody needs. Focus on the main feature, what you are solving or what people need. Test, test, and test. Assumptions are good but you need data to back them up. Build milestones and achieve one block at the time.
