Years ago someone was let go and as I went around and told people they were not with the organization no one knew who they were. When they were let go they asked me why and I said no one knew who they were. In a meeting of managers as they put names on the board to decide who would stay and who would go the managers did not know who they were and what they were capable of. There is also the other side of the coin where you may have to much exposure and people begin to say negative things about you. Try to have that happy medium and do not thrust yourself into something where you are not wanted. If you hear negative things try to let go of it and continue to be positive rising above this. People notice that and will stand up for you.
