In my experience as a consultant and as an interviewer of consultants, it is important to demonstrate understanding of the environmental challenges before jumping into possible solutions. it is tempting to show the potential employer that I can do any thing, but what I saw beneficial is to listen, and ask follow up questions and ensure that we are aligned on the challenge facing the targeted party. I can then express the problem in environmental terms and start defining main points to address.

In my experience, understanding the context of a problem is crucial for effective problem-solving. I believe that taking the time to thoroughly assess the situation and gather relevant information leads to more accurate and efficient solutions. I find that asking clarifying questions and considering different perspectives helps me grasp the full scope of the issue, enabling me to address the root cause rather than just the symptoms. This approach has consistently resulted in successful outcomes in my previous roles.

If given reading time prior to see the questions. Analysis the questions so that you know the notes you make address the questions being asked. Often the actual questions are not answered as people focus on the leading statement. Determine the level at which they need the question answered, are they looking for operational or strategic responses. Articulate what you did and what the outcome was and what you learnt from the experience.

What I’ve found helpful in tricky situations or situations where you don’t have an exact answer, starting off with one of the major experiences in life, which had a lot of impact on you, or was an infection point in your career, be it an exam your prepared for, be it a personal event, you get to derive those learning out of that experience without even preparing an ans in the similar lines. So in conclusion sharing experiences help!

Mais attention de ne pas oublier aussi (et peut-être surtout) d'analyser comment la/les mesure.s environnementale.s en question seront mises en place sur le terrain. Il faut alors souvent faire des entretiens avec les employés du terrain pour mieux comprendre leurs contraintes et besoins. Cela est indispensable pour s'assurer que tout est mis en place pour que l'action en question soit réellement applicable (et le reste) et aussi que l'action ne surcharge pas les employés de terrain. Préciser ce genre de détails souvent sous-estimés peut faire la différence.

É preciso compreender que embora a atividade do empreendimento seja a mesma em algumas situações, na consultoria ambiental cada caso terá soluções diferentes por causa dos aspectos regionais, como por exemplo, fatores como clima, tipos de solo, economia local, legislações estadual, municipais, efeitos sinergéticos, etc. Portanto, o consultor ambiental, deve ter uma visão holística, não pode simplesmente aproveitar estudos anteriores de atividades similares.

Observo na prática que muitos consultores não visitam o órgão ambiental e não acompanham os processos, deixando-os esquecidos. A comunicação com o órgão ambiental é essencial durante todo o procedimento.

There should be a feedback channel after the project is completed to get responses from the people who are directly impacted with the proffered solutions.

Back at business school we had case studies , live interactive sessions and feedback on our projects . Then in practical life we learnt that perhaps the biggest aid are our experiences to tackle and settle every day, work place issues. Now while we interact , skills are inherently displayed with some mutual references just because the efforts and hard work most of us have put in. So my advice would be : Stay loyal to your profession Study & attend events Update professional skills Create professional circles Contribute in journals Meet professionals & seniors Always be keen to make goodwill gestures Always help others In my view , if we practice these few aspects , our interviews shall always earn us good jobs .

The best way to communicate about your skills is to share stories of both business and personal(hobby) problems and solutions. You are giving the receiver a diverse perspective on your skills.
