No obstante, no debemos limitarnos a una sola tecnología, ya que una matriz energética debe ser la combinación de diversas fuentes de energía, incluyendo el diésel y el gas natural, para garantizar la firmeza en la generación. Así como una preparación de la red para la integración de estas y otras tecnologías como el almacenamiento.
