HAZID is usually recommended in securing the risks and select the top event.Once the consequences is determined from the top event, a holistic approach is considered in methods for mitigation and control. With these indices one can with that aid of expert judgement set a barrier.. This highly technological methods are useful in Accident investigation and root cause analysis.Its proactive in nature and putting the nature of the expert judgement, Regular training and updating of technology is necessary .

Continuous update on sustainable controls and if possible depending on the budget or nature of the hazard , equipment retrofitting as well as other basic mitigation controls should be subject to the process.
