One acquirer's strategy is to keep the c-suite intact but finds the existing compensation structure unappealing and passes on the deal while another acquirer regularly synergizes the c-suite with its own team and the existing executive compensation becomes an accretive EBITDA adjustment that sweetens the deal for the buyer.
