How can you change careers without taking a pay cut?

From my experience interviewing over 1000+ candidates for my own business. The most important thing you will need to have is an interest in whatever future career you want to jump into. Example: If you want to go into Digital Marketing. Start reading digital marketing blogs, watch 100 videos on digital marketing. Go to conferences or events, and ask if you can do things for free. It doesn't have to take months of work. It can be simple things like, creating canva posts. Copy writing LinkedIn post or website copy (So many small businesses have terrible copy, including my own, because small business owners do not have time.) Go dabble in things, and use that as leverage in experience or goodwill to get you a job that pays well

This is something that needs to be updated every now and then and also when one applies to different jobs they can edit as per job description and mention in their cv about what they are presently doing because sometimes we miss adding details thinking its not too important to show it in the cv.

Constantly updating your portfolio is actually really easy and really easy to forget. I also don't update a lot of things on my resume and portfolio. One thing that really helps is putting yourself in situations where you are forced to update everything. Example: I am a Singapore Certified Management Consultant. This is a certification that requires that I do upgrading and developing of my skillsets for renewal. Every professional organisation requires this, like Doctors, Lawyers, etc. Why not you?

There's a saying.. Meeting in person and networking makes you win more bread than phone calls and text messages. Also , networking does not mean just exchanging cards and handshakes. You subconsciously end up building a trust factor when you're networking. The more you network, the more you have chances of putting bread on your table.

And he brought in 2000 riders that broke enemy ranks and routed them. Everyone needs to find their Gandalf. Remember, you do not need 10 dream jobs, you only need 1 person to connect you with 1 dream job. Find your Gandalf

There are many people already talking about how to get a good salary and negotiate for a good salary. Let me explain how you create wealth for yourself and maybe your kids too. 1) Add 10X more value in revenue than what you take. Remember the real reason why all bosses hire employees is to generate a return on that time. 2) Understand that businesses have Margins. Revenue generated is not profit. It still has to go through a whole list of costs before it becomes take home profit for a business owner. If you are able to help SHOW that you can cut costs in a business or generate revenue. You will be highly paid. 3) Be so darn good that your boss hands you the keys to the kingdom. Then you have true leverage.

-When you move to a new career field, the key to not taking a pay cut is this industry that you choose. - Second, is this a long term pay cut or a short term pay cut?

Confidence and smile ...carry it everywhere you go. Talk more about what you can do than what you can't. Talk more about where you can be a value addition and if you don't know something, work on it! these things you won't find on any paper..

If you want to get extraordinary results in your life. Then don't be like every other mediocre person. It is funny how many businesses out there don't actually need that many employees to run. The truth is most businesses are being carried by the top 20% of employees. The rest are just keeping things afloat. Guess who will bosses give the best benefits and pay to in the long term? You can fake that you produce results in the short term. But in the long term only the real producers are going to win big.
