Usually when an operating system freezes, that means it is called upon a piece of hardware to perform an action that the driver is either disconnected from or is not able to see. I agree with the ones on here saying to essentially reimage it. However, you can go through your startup apps and remove everything that is not needed to run at start , go into your Control panel and weed out what is not vital, check your Windows version and update if you can, and check your RAM amount. Also make note of what you are doing when the computer freezes. If after this it doesn't work, reimage it. If that doesn't work, you have a bad hard drive. I just replaced an M.2 that was bad. It wasn't a cheap no name, it was stock Samsung or Toshiba or something. 4 years old or so, it happens, so run through the process of elimination. Cheapest options listed first, then time consuming second, then bust out your wallet last, lol
