How can you leverage your transportation expertise to grow your freelance business?

I did this exact thing when I transitioned from Operations and Sales to marketing and ultimately to becoming a full time podcaster. Since I knew freight already, I started my podcast in that niche and leveraged my connections as guests. In a relatively short period of time I was able to monetize that and get was paid to ghost write articles for both small and big brands. How? Approach companies that you cover and show them samples, tag them in content you create, and deliver! Figure out which categories in your niche you can speak to and build from there. Where to build? I picked podcasting because in 2016 it was wide open. Now I’d also use TikTok, X, LinkedIn and YouTube

My strengths come from being in direct contact with my clients start to finish. My clients can see the value in my company and my services for them selves having a direct line to me personally . They get to visually witness the level of skill I demand from my staff they also experience the care and consideration that goes into handling there freight and customising the logistics to suit there objectives personally

Being a small company I find myself using a more simple approach to building my portfolio. I get a lot of referrals and repeat business my services are already limited and I like it like that . Good branding communication and presentation first followed up by zero damages good customer relations and positive energy's .

I agree totally , I think the points I made in the building your portfolio section is applicable here as well people want to see your work ethic it's on display always your attitude needs to be consistent also , I build my client base through a few simple sites directly related and designed for the freight I specialise in I'm currently working on gaining access to a couple other sites I have researched and I have found to be admirable . From there Im pretty consistent with building and advertising directly through my past and present clients .

Again as above , there are some great sites available in this day and age . But remember you have to do your research you have to be confident in the quality and consultancy of the platforms your winning your work through or your setting yourself up to fail. Because in my experience thats the first point of contact for potential clients , you don't want to take on a client that's already got a bitter taste in there mouth

The quality of your work is paramount . Consistency and reliability is key . You never want to have to explain yourself . The less said the better. Your operation needs to appear seemless at all times . Even if it is a little smoke and mirrors occasionally
