If you know that the event requires asking questions, make a list in advance. What I found helpful was making good acquaintances in circles that go to the same events as I do, meeting people that you know always helps you relax and don't feel the social pressure as much.

Practice shifting focus. For many introverts, there are specific aspects of interaction that feel more draining than others. There are also aspects that elevate our energy more than others. Focus more attention on the aspects that elevate energy. That doesn't mean ignore the ones that tank energy. But it helps when we minimize the focus on those.
