Often decision makers may not be subject matter experts in some of the fields, so they can get clouded in their judgement, when they see too much of technical jargon. So it is important to balance the right and left brain of the audience. Right mixture of visual data with compelling story telling . One of the best way is well known Japanese technique called “pecha kucha “ which is informative but not boring .

R&D is backbone of any industries, & success of industries always depend on powerful R&D Team. R&D normally lead by the top management and they introduce product to market, if team not influence how they create new product in the buckets.

This seems to be a right discussion but i do not fully on this point. Why always the expert has to show the full presentation with technical discussions to the person who does not understand it. Rather the decision shall be staggered with the checkpoints and funnel shape. For eg. if the technical team has done their research and the data is cleared from the technical team. The decision from technical perspective between A, B or C shall be chosen by the technical team giving preference to clearance. Then based on time perspective from project management side and so on and later after going thru these phases where the actual decisions have to made, then the discussions shall only be between pros and cons for choosing the best case scenerio.

Do not be afraid to speak truth to power. Do not stand my present information that you know your audience would like to hear. Have the courage to tell your audience the information they need to hear.
