I’ll give an example : When I was a college kid I got the chance to debate at Harvard. For a kid from New Delhi, this was a HUGE deal and it also meant going to New York. On that trip, as a broke college kid, I had an unholy number of hotdogs from the street vendors. When back in Delhi, I realised no one was making those hotdogs here. You must be carefully picking the ones that highlight your company's cultural foundation, mission, vision and values. Also understand how those stories play in the space of DE&I. In my consulting career I have found many leaders often are not attentive to those details. Pick your stories with future focused strategy and alignment with ALL stakeholders. It is a powerful tool - when used well can be a huge boost for your brand. If misused, it can be a huge blow and risk for your brand.
