I agree with all of my fellow mentors and would like to add further that relevance of identifying the target business audience is most vital to create a value proposition to the end users. My short term goal is to reach at least a 10000 mark this year of LinkedIn professionals and create an ecosystem to contribute further to the Industry. My long term goal is to create a pool of experts who could mentor the industry in areas where there is no need to re invent the wheel again.

In my opinion, business development means opening windows to all who are willing to have corporation and it depends on our skills to create the opportunities for interested associates and also create the needs for others to have corporation with us. all potential associates have their own structure so it is our duty to create this structure based on our abilities and also the available resources. This structure will be built at the heart of our networking center that we shall maintain the existed links with improving our connections and also create new links to make this network bigger.

In my view on establishing business goals, prioritizing self-assessment of skills and expertise is paramount. Defining objectives aligned with your capabilities precedes engaging with associates. This approach ensures a clear understanding of what you offer and how to deliver optimal value, forming a solid foundation for collaboration.

I always start my research by asking myself what can I contribute and/or add value to that my prospect is doing or is passionate about?

When I’m meeting with someone either through social media, or that was referred to me, I do my best to gather as much information as possible so when I speak to them, it shows that I had genuine interest in them, and they weren’t just a number or a random call. If someone refer someone to me, I ask about them, their family, their occupation, two or three positive qualities about them, etc. from whoever referred them to me. And I use those to highlight why they would be a great person to work with me. If it’s here on LinkedIn, I make sure I review their profile, as well as résumé first, and ask them about some of the highlights. This shows that they were not just a random click, but someone took time. People appreciate that.

I've found that doing your homework makes all the difference. LinkedIn is a goldmine for this. You can learn about potential associates' backgrounds, interests, and mutual connections. Understanding their business needs and how they align with yours can set the stage for a meaningful connection.

In my opinion, networking is the best quality towards gaining proper contact of your field. People management skills and your ability to connect with ease to various people of your field is the most important thing.

If you are part of a structured network like BNI you will be able to do 121 with your prospects and come to know well about each others business. This way thousands of people successfully collaborate and co-create.

Ich habe früher viel Telefonmarketing und Cold Calling betrieben. Das ist die "alte Schule" im Recruiting und Headhunting. Spätestens seit dem Corona-Lockdown mit verstärkt Home-Office waren die wichtigsten Kunden Stakeholder aber kaum mehr erreichbar und nur genervt, wenn man sie kurz in Meetingpausen vertrieblich kontaktiert hat. Heute setze ich auf gute Social Media Arbeit mit Content für Product Manager und schreibe mögliche Kunden gezielt per Inmail oder Invite an. Am Ende spielen Bedarf, Timing und Vertrauen im Business die Key-Rolle. Wenn das magische Dreieck stimmt, kommt auch eine fundierte Antwort vom Kunden zurück - und die lohnt es sich dann auch mit Druck und Einsatz zu verfolgen.

In today era, setting up the priority on daily basis is one of the most important task as we are involved in various activities. Setting up the agenda of the day and keeping constant follow up to achieve your agenda will play an important role to your success. A person having strong follow up skills will surely remind a person at other end to keep his task on priority to deliver. Also keeping a habit to be in touch with a person either by sending a thank you email, appreciation email, festival wishes along with work follow up matters a lot to get your work done. Also need to understand the fact that follow up must not be irritating in any of the way otherwise it may turn towards unfavourable way.

Follow-ups are where many drop the ball. You don't want to come off as pushy, but you don't want to be forgotten either. A gentle nudge, maybe sharing an article relevant to your last conversation, can keep the dialogue going.

El seguimiento es fundamental, lo es en cualquier tipo de relación, y más aún en una relación comercial, pero hacerlo bien es un arte que debe mezclar, al menos, educación, cordialidad, empatía, gratitud, interés, seguridad y conocimiento.

Sometimes, your Linky connections will post about sad events of being fired, laid off, or if there’s a death in their company or in their families. Again, this would be a good time to be supportive and show them your sympathy or offer help. In other words, maintaining great relationships your connections can be summed up as: treat others the way you want to be treated. If you want more support, give more support. If you want more kindness, be kinder.
