As with many evaluation processes, when doing it for an organization or business, don't do the process alone. You may have all of the insight and knowledge on a given situation, but that is a small may. It is more likely other team members, peers and seniors have a different and valuable perspective. This isn't to pawn the work off on others. It's to increase the understanding of the situation and create options you couldn't have seen alone. Even though it feels easier and that it's your responsibility for the execution of the process, bringing others in for their insight and collaboration can make all the difference in finding options that can work well in your situation.
