Diversity is a lived experience and no matter how hard one tries to instill it into systems and people, if it is not 'lived', then it will fail, surely.

This is so true. In a recent team session, we were refreshing ourselves on the core fundamentals of situational leadership. What really came out of the session was the need for us to really understand the other person, their background, ways of communicating and culture. By doing this, we could ensure the right support, the right encouragement and the right teamwork, making everyone’s role simpler and more satisfying. As the world has become a smaller place through technology and virtual conversation capability, so the challenges of effective and respectful communication have become larger. All businesses that strive to be truly global will only succeed by embracing and nurturing the diversity of its people.
