According to me there are two facets of Feedback culture: 1. Top-Down: This includes performance reviews, check-in and feedback from managers to employees. 2. Bottom-Up : This includes surveys, suggestions and anonymous channels for employees to express themselves. A successful feedback culture imbibes both the facets and ensures there is a 360 loop when it comes to feedback. Only when employees feel valued and connected, will they be able to perform their best and also think about working in an organisation for a long time.

Salaries can be matched anywhere and everywhere but what stands out is the culture of the organisation. Is there an openness to share feedback, do your leaders listen to your knowledge and perspective? Do you feel welcomed around the environment of office, how long the employees have been working there, what kind of growth the reporting manager has seen in the office for themselves. What is the recognition model in the office. All these points attract the top talent and also retain them. Be strong with your basics

Just don't go overboard with any of the above. Maintain the healthy balance. Too much remuneration never leads to better performance or better returns. Too much recognition can backfire and instead boost the narcissistic traits (that unsuprisingly, each one of us has).
