In my experience of training the already trained (having field experience of conducting labour inspections) labour Inspectors of using new gadgets like OHS kit (which includes Noise level meter, Illumination level meter, Anemometer, heat measuring meter etc) to demonstrate it in teal time and let them practice in the classroom to be better masters while doing their jobs.

I agree with this approach and like reverse questioning to help the participants to brainstorm on the questions and then answering them while they are fully attentive. It helps a-lot.

As the saying goes, Seeing is believing and videos and infographics are the way more helpful and engaging for the participants in any kind of trainings. Nowadays, simulations can be created to better understand the complex situations.

Feedback and evaluation can help trainers assess their strengths and weaknesses, and identify areas for further learning or development.
