Many ecoparks around the world have achieved remarkable results and inspired others to follow their lead. For instance, Kalundborg Eco-Industrial Park in Denmark is one of the oldest and most renowned ecoparks. This park exchanges water, steam, gas, and materials between a coal-fired power plant, a refinery, a pharmaceutical plant, a gypsum board factory, and a fish farm, saving millions of dollars and reducing CO2 emissions by 240,000 tons per year. Additionally, Kawasaki Eco-Town in Japan is a comprehensive urban regeneration project that focuses on waste management, recycling, and renewable energy. It has 32 facilities that process various types of waste and generate electricity, heat, and biogas. The Devens Eco-Efficiency Center in the USA is a non-profit organization that assists small and medium-sized businesses in the Devens Industrial Park to enhance their environmental and economic performance. It offers services such as waste reduction, energy efficiency, green procurement, and education while facilitating the exchange of materials, equipment, and expertise among members to create a circular community.
