As others have said, the best tool really depends on your specific needs and budget. I can recommend UiPath or Automation Anywhere – they're user-friendly and offer a good range of features. But honestly, Intelligent Process Automation is where business transformation happens. For my own the best benefit that brings BPM is process modelization between system to system and humans. If you choose the right tool, you can standardize your workflows. This bring a reproductible and predictable comportment of the system/production. You can next deal with happy path and all its alternate branches (planned or not) to identify bottlenecks, procedure issue and all that could slowdown or complexify the process workflow. The goal behind this is to bring a tool : easy to understand and to evolve that let engineers modifying it over the time. Last but not least, a proper tool interconnects systems and humans all together without scripts or specific development that reduce integration and attached constrains.

Sure,most process analysts are hired to identify and mitigate bottlenecks.If a software can replace that,that should be the way forward.

Every engineering process comprises manual iterative processes and the necessity of communication and data exchange among departments. What if we could integrate the process into a general Workflow, which facilitates us to avoid wasting time in the development loops and losing time and information in the communication process? Among the available tools, we have chosen as a team the Software Synera, whose function as an integrating software, provides us the possibility of bringing together different areas of expertise to interact with each other within the Workflow to deliver a product, which meets the requirements. The workflow could be recycled and reused for similar projects, because the workflow would represent the development process.

There are some great tools out there to automate workflows and the choice of tool depends on many factors like investment, scale of operations, technical trade offs etc. but RedHat Ansible Tower does seem to possess most of the required capabilities. We are rolling it out in my current project and I will be able to better appreciate it in the coming days for sure!!!
