What is the difference between a carbon footprint and a greenhouse gas inventory?

It can also include your downstream emssions from what your customers do with your products or your entire product's lifecycle. Emissions can be estimated or measured, but mostly they are estimated based on the # of employees, the amount of product, the number of miles or dollars spent on everything you do (some methods are more accurate than others). To measure, on the other hand, requires much more detailed information.
