Another point not mentioned is through university research groups,or through search engines like google,chatgpt etc, search engines can lead to a lot of possibilities.

The most straightforward is to request for an LCA or EPD which is quite common in the construction industry. Keeping track of the latest innovations of the suppliers/manufacturers of the materials is also something I'd recommend as supplier innovation is sometimes undervalued.
