What do you do if your employees have unrealistic expectations?
When your employees have expectations that don't align with reality, it can lead to frustration on both sides. You might find that they're seeking promotions after a short time, demanding higher salaries than the market dictates, or expecting more perks than your company can provide. The first step is to understand where these expectations are coming from. Are they based on misinformation, or perhaps a disconnect between what was communicated during the hiring process and the current state of affairs? Once you've pinpointed the source, you can begin to address the issue directly and empathetically.
