What do you do if your Personal Development career path is unclear?

It's what you develop to get it with the matter.

The best way to get clarity is to assess our present situations & analysis the reasons to understand the lack of clarity on career path. To understand about our personal development at first we must try to understand: -what is my goal? -how can I achieve it? -what is my strength which can help me to achieve my goals? -I must identify my weaknesses & work on them The above points will certainly help to get clarity as far as career development is concerned.

The importance of understanding one's "why." Nowadays, advice on goal setting, planning, and discipline is abundant, and undeniably valuable. I, too, have leveraged many of these strategies with success. However, amidst the infinity of techniques lies a fundamental question: Why? Why do you pursue career advancement? Is it for financial gain? Prestige? More responsibility? Your "why" serves as the cornerstone of your journey. It's the unconscious driver propelling you forward, wielding incredible power. Embrace your true "why" without fear. It's the catalyst for meaningful change. Once you unearth your personal, authentic "why," the path forward becomes clear, unfolding effortlessly.

In my experience as a self starting entrepreneur, I found it most helpful to have a personal development coach Somebody I could trust and really share things about my growth and development. I was lucky to find somebody who was excellent at it and really challenged me to set higher and higher targets in both my work and personal development.

Sports taught me the importance of self-awareness. For me it's all about: - figuring out our strengths (and embracing them) - figuring out our weaknesses (and embracing them) Then focus on your strengths!

My favorite option is "learning by doing". 99% of my lessons came from doing. Taking action is always a great move – especially when we're willing to learn from it.

Multiple pathways with different destinations will emerge & you can either pick one that resonates the most or try multiple things and phase them. In today’s time career is non-linear & someone who took few risks, or had a blooper (but bounced back) has better resolve & exploration than those on linear route

Explore your area of interest and take some action to check your progress (like how better you are in this field) - Get some insights from the people who are working in that field - Do some courses or attend some webinars to understand more about the field - Find out opportunities in those fields (job roles, organizations, etc.)

I think exploring all of our options for our career path is crucial when uncertainty arises. By broadening our horizons, researching different industries, roles, and educational opportunities, we expand our perspective and uncover new possibilities. I know I have. Whatever your options are, keep being realistic. As much as possible, choose the options that can afford your expenses. Remember that expenses will grow faster than your salary increase when you stand still in your position. Therefore you need to choose the ones with ladders to be achieved not so long. Keep learning to keep your career marathon. Doing several jobs or having several hats is something that is common today. I myself am wearing several hats at the same time; a practising medical doctor, a leading digital transformation consultant for banks, a post graduate lecturer, and an undergraduate student in law.

My way to evaluate is by talking to myself - about loud. It's like journaling, but instead of writing you talk to yourself. It's pure self-awareness.

Be consistent and committed with what you choose and keep stretching it further otherwise a sub-optimal equilibrium is likely to phase you out. Your criteria and preference may not be same as others so dont indulge in analysis paralysis of alternatives. Start small, and incrementally keep loading then switch to a point where you begin your day with one hard thing. This will set your tone for the day that rest is achievable

I find that evaluating our alternatives is pivotal when our career path seems unclear. By carefully considering different options, being very open to new ideas, weighing up their pros and cons, we gain clarity and direction. Not forgetting to align these new ideas with our skills, passions, and long-term goals of course. This thoughtful evaluation empowers us to make informed decisions and confidently pursue paths that resonate with our aspirations. Yeah,that seems too much amazing and incredible, but besides that, we need to focus on what we feel is close to our personality, which seems too much familiar to our thoughts and close us to achieve our goals in a very fast way.

It's a traditional way to do it, but we have to make our thoughts focus on the way that's makes us very close to achieving our aim.

I don't believe in such a thing as flatering self. Be objective, don't make a small success as a big one. I always believe in being hard to myself, aim high and do not claim insignificant success.

Accountability partners can really help in this, and consider keeping a diary of your progress. It's difficult to get quiet and make time to think - with all the distractions and busyness in life. Taking time to think about our lives is vital to Personal Development and happiness. How do you know where you are going in life, when you are unable to identify your goals?

Yeah, that's the best way to do it in a short time and in a very professional way in our life, and at the same time, you will find yourself in the final tunnel.

But do not review them too soon! In the beginning the outcomes tend to be disappointing. If you open a coffee shop you need a certain number of satisfied custumers who recommend you to their friends in addition to coming regularly. Therefore, the curve of growth will be exponental as opposed to linear. So be patient.

Concentrating on your own values and constantly reminding yourself of them is helpful when making possible changes. The priority of values can change over the course of life, which is exactly why it is important to keep looking at them anew.

The problem may not come from your side when you have firm purpose in what you want to do and have clear preparation in how to do it. You know your goal, you know your capabilities, you know the steps to achieve it, however, you don’t seem to have progress in your career development. Asses the external factors that related to your current situation, what external factors that play significant roles in your personal career development and find which factors that hinder your development. Lack of support from your colleagues, superior? Poor leadership skills? Insufficient development tools? Toxic culture? Don’t have buddy or mentor, etc.? Once you find the external root cause, take a step to fix it. No mentor? Find it and so on.
