Well if you actually end up taking a route to further education then you and I are in the same boat. Here was my thought process: Although I was learning exponentially on the job; my need for further education was derived from expanding my horizon on what's possible in the field of data analytics. If you are in the mid career like - organizations would lean over your expert opinion. For me to be able to provide competitive advantage to my company, I wanted to be at par or ahead in the game. This was only possible when I did not bank on google search and was trying to stretch my capabilities and mind box.

I chose a masters program at Georgia Tech and to be honest, it is a very difficult qualification to obtain. From my POV, I may not get the same flexibility later so I'd rather start early and get the returns as early as possible
