Shaping the young minds. Instilling discipline and order. Test their acquired knowledge/skills that has bearing for rest of their lives.

Knowledge is the wellspring of creation, shaping everything from politics to science. Passed down from teachers to students, it becomes a guiding light for the future. Teachers are like captains steering the ship of tomorrow, Think of Krishna, the epitome of a great teacher, or Chanakya, whose wisdom echoes through time. In the show "Chanakya," a memorable line says, "A teacher is never ordinary; catastrophes and creation blossom in his lap." This beautifully captures the idea that teachers are special, playing a crucial role in both challenging times and the birth of new things. Teachers are the key to our future, bringing change, fostering creativity, and recognizing their students' potential.

True teachers provide the knowledge that helps one to overcome problems of life, therefore responsible for improvement of both individuals and society as a whole. Teachers are a special blessing from God to us. They are the ones who build a good nation and make the world a better place.

Their impact was huge, but not all those ancient teachers necessarily impacted in a positive way for their followers/ students.

The writers of books were also our teachers and Chaucer comes to mind, documenting life in medieval times. At that time, more children were apprentices and the apprentice master was a prime example of the transmission of skills and know-how from one generation to the next. As far as I am concerned, these experienced teachers provided an orderly transition of skills and knowledge that we have relied upon right up to the 20th century.

However other sources of knowledge are available to humanity besides the compilation of observations, experiences, and data sets and they are superior entities. We know from biblical records that the Lord God was very much involved with the early civilizations of mankind and how Moses interacted with the Lord God and compiled the book of the laws as given by a superior entity. We can’t deny the existence of God as many evidences suggest that God is real from biblical records and how Elohim made the Heaven and the earth and everything in it. We know that God is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. Meaning to say, that God is all-knowing and it is through Him that the nation of Israel received their knowledge of the Bible.

When I think of medieval teachers and how they promoted education and learning it mirrors what we do today. Students should always understand the importance of education through promotion from their teacher. Thomas Aquinas has a school named after him in NY, I never knew who he was until read this article.

Learning about the past is important, but not to the extent that we live our current days , our religion and our beliefs in the view of what we were taught the History resembled. Contrary, no one man can determine the real and true nature of past events, as the interpretation meant something different entirely.

Shakespeare the Bard has reverberated down the generations since his great contribution to English and English literature. If he had lived today he would have been the greatest script writer, producer and director of the film industry. His craft was on the stage and he has left us with timeless guides to living such as there is nothing good or bad except thinking makes it so, a rose is still a rose by whatever name you call it and so forth (my paraphrase). His skill was entertainment with a message, a lesson and guides for life. A true teacher is a guide and an interpreter of life. This is what makes Shakespeare a true teacher for all time.

I am very fortunate that they discovered literature, mathematics, culture, the arts, basically everything that we as a society love to learn about and do in our leisurely time. Shakespeare was a great poet, and he is quoted very often. Leonardo Da Vinci was also a very successful painter. It was through these teachers and many more after that that students came to realize that they can have a career out of their passions, based on their idols and role models. There is always a big question: If they did it, why can’t I? It’s the self talk starting, and sometimes, even people close to you want to see you fail because it’s not their vision for you. But it is simply our life and we get to choose. No one else.

Many ancient civilizations that have existed in the past are no longer around nor are their cultures, literatures, and teachers. Some other nefarious literatures that have also vanished from societies are witchcraft and other satanic ritual books after the great purging period of the 18th century. Of course, it’s possible that some people have descended from witches and may have inherited some special knowledge of their trade which are not available publicly. If this literature were to be made public, there would be terrible consequences.

Are uneducated not to their fault but the curriculum. The studies are limited and do not include core teaching values. Our youth need to learn about the economy, how to do tax , how to manage finances and how to contribute rather than use society.

I hadn’t had much thought about “categories” of teachers, until I saw this and seen some of the people who I looked up to in different groups. I love factors from quite a few of them. Montessori I learned from college. She was a reformer and probably the best one in my opinion. She became the first female doctor against her parents wishes (to be a school teacher) yet knew teaching was not a “one size fits all” and understood that children, especially children with differing needs, need to be taught differently and can’t be sitting in a chair 6 hours a day. Children learn by play, and she simply understood that. For that I applaud her.

In my experience, the contemporary teacher is a facilitator of learning, whose role is partly to set higher standards that challenge, inspire and motivate learners to think without a box. This then fits well in the current reality where a teacher must prepare learners for jobs yet to be created, and produce output (learners) that will be part of the creators and innovators of those jobs.

Understanding basic tenants of TECHNOLOGY should be considered an essential topic and should be taught in school, not in a vocational manner but as a mainstream class.

I was inspired by how Andrew Carnegie said he learnt. His teachers were the book authors in a library he frequented when he could. We now have at our disposal all manner of teachers through the net. I think a timeless saying is - when the student is ready the teacher will appear.

In today's world of digitisation, rather than considering Technology as a challenge or an obstacle, if we, teachers consider it in our favour, it would thus make the whole learning process creative, fun and would act as an extra advantage for the students.

In the future, teachers will take on more roles such as advisors or mentors. In addition, standard information will be provided by robot teachers supported by elements such as AI.

In future, a Teacher's role is to be a facilitator and not to impart knowledge. This implies that information is accessible to everyone at the fingertips, however, WHAT to learn will still require teachers. For an instance, ethics, values and morality can't be taught by the technological tools.

Collaborative approach is going to be the key for the future. The boundaries of classroom have already faded as knowledge is now available at the click of a button in the world of information. In future there is need to change the role of teacher to mentors and inculcate values in students and a seed that will help them to understand ...what is right, what is ethical and more human. There will be a need to use wholistic approach and look beyond the periphery and work more towards humanity as these young minds will only create the world of future that teachers can dream of.

Success of any nation is directly proportional to education and Healthcare. Teachers and medical professionals are the major pillars of any nation.

My first motivation for choosing a teaching job, besides my passion, was the day one of the university professors arrived late to the class, and because I had learned the lesson of the previous session well, I went to the front of the class before the teacher arrived and started reviewing the lesson of the previous session. I did that and suddenly the professor came and said: You have a teacher inside you who is ready to teach at any moment :)

Considering the current situation in education where AI is a mastermind, teachers are at threat too. Ai teachers? Is't impossible to have robotic teachers? Time will come where humanoid teachers will be incharge with powerful minds engraved with every idea. Just one or two robotic teachers are enough to replace 20+ blooded teachers. The lack of humanic emotions in ai robots will be solved one-day, When that happens, the tragedy to teaching arena will be alive. Let's remember this, 'Humanoid ai, will be lecturing one day'
