En mi experiencia, al igual que se posiciona un producto en un nicho para ser competitivo, en el mundo laboral se busca un marketer versátil con conocimientos en redes sociales, CRM, marketing automatizado, SEO, diseño y optimización web y un millón de cosas más. Esto obliga a los profesionales de mi generación a ser generalistas, limitando la especialización y resultando en un conocimiento superficial. Las empresas deben adaptarse y no esperar que una sola persona realice el trabajo de 5 personas, hay que evitar así la búsqueda de un superhéroe del marketing y centrarse en la construcción de un equipo que cumpla con las necesidades de tu empresa.

In my experience in tech and marketing of a platform, I think one of the most essential lines of communication needs to be between marketing and the product team. Tech companies can be very product-oriented and as a marketer, you need to bring them into the mindset of the user. You are the voice of the users and need to communicate on their behalf, to assist the developers in making a platform that addresses the needs of the users, more than just displaying what developers think users want or need. That is the power of communication between teams & colleagues and the difference between a paid product that succeeds and one that does not.

Often, the definition of poor communication equals "poor utilization of communication tools." Marketing teams are, by nature, the communication hub of any department, and what they usually do wrong is spread communication across too many tools and channels without having a streamlined process. Nobody wants to be attacked with the same request over every company channel, and still, companies and marketing teams integrate more and more collaboration tools instead of fixing the core issues. Setting clear boundaries within tools and defining the proper usage of each is a great step to improving each lane of communication.

Embrace feedback from colleagues, clients, and even your audience. Always assume good faith when you receive feedback. We tend to push back on feedback because we feel attacked and become defensive. Sometimes it could be how we mistakenly perceive the way the feedback was given. The other party might mean well but we saw it in a negative light. I have learnt to take all feedback as given with good intentions, whether it truly is or not. This helps me to be receptive of feedback and put myself in the other’s perspective to consider the issue.

As a former employee of a reputable hospital, I can attest that feedbacks play a crucial role in determining the Patient Experience Index. Feedback comes in the form of compliments or grievances. The party that receive complaints, plan for improvements and adjustments in response to each complaint. In contrast, praises assist HRD in identifying employees that meet the requirements for bonuses or recognition for exceptional work. Feedback in marketing will be a great tool for the business to: 1. Determine the target market's needs, as this will aid marketing in planning future targets. 2. Interact with various clients 3. Recognize Our Market's Rivals 4. Develops upcoming brand advocates. Now, I'm learning to apply this to my team members.

Absolutely right. We can’t take criticism or appreciation in a right way and that makes us lack sales or growth opportunity. It’s a human tendency. Whenever we are criticised we take a step back and if we get appreciated we are on a cloud 9.

Los sesgos siempre estarán ahí y muchas veces es necesario salir de la oficina y hablar con la gente común, que son quienes comprarán tu producto. Cuanta más información y feedback recopiles de personas con distintos backgrounds, más crecerás como profesional. Deja atrás el orgullo y sé humilde.

We need to prioritize our tasks. More focus due to we have a lot of things to do. I myself do things to do list and check and update them everyday. It’s a good way to monitor and follow up tasks.

Mantenerte en tu zona de confort, no es malo, pero tampoco bueno. Si estas tranquilo, a gusto y seguro en nuestras casas, nos dará mucho miedo a salir de ese refugio a conocer mundo, y seguramente nos estemos perdiendo viajes, gente, lugares, amaneceres y comidas. Buscar un equilibrio es la clave, pero sobre todo, no conformarnos con nuestro día a día, y trabajar cada día para conseguir nuestra mejor versión.

Si te quedas dormido en el rio, te lleva la corriente, lo mismo pasa en este sector. Debido al alto nivel de competitividad no te puedes limitar a lo que ya sabes, vivimos en un mundo que cada día cambia. Se innovador e intenta siempre adelantarte a los cambios.

This approach not only fosters personal and professional growth but also keeps marketing strategies fresh and competitive.

En el marketing, la vergüenza hay que dejarla en casa. Nos movemos en un sector dinámico que, por suerte, nos ofrece muchas posibilidades para conocer gente que nos puede brindar oportunidades que no llegarían si nos quedamos en casa. Despiertate cada día con la dirección clara, hacia dónde se dirige tu viaje, que camino quieres seguir, cuánto tiempo va a llevarte llegar a tu viaje, y sobre todo nunca olvides el placer de llegar a tu destino. Quedarse por el camino implica fallar con lo que un día soñaste ( a no ser, que encuentres por el camino un lugar donde quieras quedarte) Sé fiel a ti mismo.

Find a mentor early in your career. Not necessarily from your own organisation. Join groups, forums and enjoy networking. Read to gain knowledge. Travel to learn. Rest all the jargon you will pick up from your boss but the real work is working on yourself.

I'd say the biggest mistake is not making any mistakes. It's being afraid to make mistakes. Because mistakes teach us and nudge us in the right direction. Mistakes make us better, and turn us into people who can then guide and teach and train the next generation of marketers, which is essentially what makes you into a manager and a leader. So don't be afraid to make mistakes. Make them, be humbled by them and learn from them. Marketing is a lot of experimentation let's not forget that, mistakes are a given.
