Update procedure could not work with Audio driver. it's often better to uninstall it first (with delete option checked) and restart the computer before installing new version.

Restarting your computer after uninstallation is very important for audio driver, because there is a part of the finalization process needing this reboot. After this, it's also recommended to check that the driver is really removed and not present anymore in the Windows Device Manager. You must check first the section "Sound, video and game controllers"... then after check the section "audio inputs and outputs". if present in one of theses sections, you will have to uninstall the device again (right click to get the menu to do it)... and reboot after each operation.
