I’ve found the key to great networking is having it facilitated so intentional qs are set so there is no awkwardness. Then when sharing come from a place of curiosity and presence. Mindfully listen to the other person before responding. This is when it truly lands and benefits everyone involved. This is how I run my networking events. And I’ve had incredible feedback which I am so grateful for after 25 events. It really feels like community building and most people say at the end that they feel inspired to work with every business owner in the room 🙏😊

Networking can feel like planting seeds—you won’t always see the results immediately. If you're feeling frustrated by slow progress here are three tips to keep in mind: 1. **Focus on Relationships, Not Transactions** Networking isn't about quick wins. It’s about building genuine connections. Invest in getting to know people. 2. **Consistency is Key** It’s not enough to attend one event or send one message—keep the momentum going. Consistent effort will keep you top of mind when the right opportunities arise. 3. **Give Before You Get** When you’re generous with your time and knowledge, people remember you for the right reasons. In the long run, this creates a stronger foundation for meaningful connections.

Keep your expectations realistic and understand that building meaningful connections requires time and effort. Emphasize Quality: Focus on cultivating a handful of strong relationships instead of numerous superficial ones. Continuously assess and modify your networking approaches as necessary. Keep your networking in line with your personal and professional interests to stay motivated. Recognize and value small accomplishments to maintain motivation.
