The 'your' is not to be taken personally, but should not be construed lightly. Is it a lake of their resources, an idiosyncratic attitude they've gleaned along the way, a personality conflict of some sort, or would tgey prefer to mete subsidies to another not-for-profit organization ?To placate the disaffected major contributor, you must arrange to explain to other Board Members about the opposing view. Then correspond with the grieving party. Extend apologies. Indicate that you will delegate to other Board members, or other very competent staff. Attempt to maintain their auspices, in any which way, if they are make-or-break sorts.

Addressing donor dissatisfaction requires transparency, accountability, and action. First, we engage in direct conversation to understand their concerns, whether due to unmet expectations, lack of visible impact, or communication gaps. Next, we provide clear impact reporting with data and success stories, acknowledging any challenges. To rebuild confidence, we outline a plan for improvement and invite their input. Strengthening communication through regular updates and engagement ensures trust. Finally, we showcase ongoing impact and explore aligning their support with initiatives that match their vision, reinforcing a lasting partnership.

Esto genera un sentido de pertenencia, disminuye la percepción de riesgo y reafirma su compromiso. Convierta la relación en una colaboración continua, no solo en una transacción financiera.
