However, you should also be flexible and adaptable to the context and nature of the problem, and use the appropriate tools and methods that suit your situation. You should also work collaboratively with your stakeholders and communicate clearly and effectively throughout the problem-solving process.

As a business analyst tackling a tough problem, I'd start by breaking it down into smaller, manageable parts. Then, I'd gather as much relevant data as possible through surveys, interviews, or analyzing past trends. Brainstorming sessions with colleagues can help generate creative solutions. Utilizing tools like flowcharts or diagrams can visualize the problem and potential solutions, making it easier to understand and communicate with others involved.

Considering many views from professsionals from various knowledge areas, take the time needed to understand what is the main issue or challenge that you are trying to solve. Risks became higher when there is no deep understanding of what is the root cause of the problem. Also there are more questions to answer as; what are the goals and objectives of the problem-solving process? What are the scope and boundaries of the problem? You can use tools such as problem statements, SMART goals, and issue trees to help you with this step.

One thing I've found helpful is tackling complex problems involves a blend of techniques. Start with requirements gathering, diving deep into understanding user needs through interviews, workshops, and surveys. Analyze data using techniques like SWOT or PESTLE analysis to grasp the bigger picture. Utilize brainstorming sessions to generate innovative solutions. Employ tools like flowcharts, use cases, or storyboards to visualize processes. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment and buy-in throughout the process. Iteratively refine your approach based on feedback, keeping communication channels open for continuous improvement.

Cela m'aide à définir la situation actuelle en toute objectivité pour élaborer un futur plan d'action. Resources involved for deploying the change 5. Production smoke testing plan 6. Rollback plan if there is issue with new version of code and have to rollback to legacy version 7. The 1st step to take is recognizing that we've the problem. 2nd: Know the problem with clarity and it's effects. 3rd: Discover the root causes of the problem using the Pareto's principle 80/20. The 80/20 principle allows us to discover the big items to tackle in solving the problems this means 80% of the of the results we want comes from 20% of our efforts. Avoid tackling everything you see like a problem, focus on big rocks that makes the biggest difference in the change you want to see and the rest will filter in.
