For example, if you're studying the influence of social media on different age groups, you cannot choose to work on one age group and ignore the others. This is justified with the fact that your title implies you intended to consider ALL age groups and not part of them. You are also expected to include both males and females regardless of their social or financial situation. The way this is reflected on your data is through the random and non-exclusive selection of subjects which are supposed to be a blend of mant if not all social and financial groups.
