I often turn to technology when I’m faced with creative challenges that would normally blow the budget. It's like finding a secret shortcut that lets me achieve what seemed impossible. Tech becomes my go-to solution, offering a smarter, more cost-effective way to bring ambitious ideas to life. It helps me deliver a vision that’s not only within budget but also wows the audience with surprises they didn’t even know they were looking for.

When is the right time to get into acting? Whenever you want. There is no expiration date for you. Productions need all kinds of people. Taking that first step may be all you need. Find local acting classes; improv classes and let the fun, creativity and networking begin. Not only will you be making new friends, you'll be getting that much closer to something you maybe have always wanted to do. But you'll never know unless you try. With the emphasis on improv, it is based on a two-word premise, "Yes, and..." I promise you, if you implement those two beautiful words into your day to day life it will elevate you professionally, but most importantly, personally. Then watch the opportunities open up to you like never before. Shine brilliant!

If a new technology helps to make films more entertaining, more accessible, and more interesting, then you have to adapt to it. That was the case with the advent of sound cinema, and that was the case with color cinema.

I've found that utilizing LED walls in a Virtual Production environment is most helpful for car scenes. You can remove a lot of the guess work of process trailer shoots in the field and reduce time and effort with lighting a green screen. Most times you don't need to be running Unreal Engine or anything like that. You just need a main LED wall surface, an LED ceiling, and moveable LED surfaces. This helps you get the right angles for the reflections. The first time you see the reflections, it's amazing. That's the real reason to do it over the green screen. It's so hard to replicate those reflections in post. LED Volume shooting for PMP car scenes is the best use of the LED technology for most filmmakers. Every movie has a driving scene.

Naturally exploring and adding new technology will impact your creative output in a positive way. Just dont do it while engaged in an actually production. During an active production stick to what you know and stick to the game plan. You have a budget, you have a deadline, you have an expected workflow and and production process. Experiment and grow your skills and knowledge of the new tech on your own time. In between projects. So that you may use it in the next project. The next one will provably be better and smoother, but dont go changing up you flow in the middle of an active project unless the budget itself and delivery expectations also change. Cause such a change can be risky and may often actually backfire on you.

Si y no, depende de lo pulcro que seas en tu trabajo. Los principios básicos están automatizados y muchos se quedan con eso. Recuerdo cuando se trabajaba con cine. Ahí tenías que ser por definición un experto, medir, revisar, contar el tiempo, mezclar químicos, era ciencia y arte. Hoy siendo una persona que se suma a lo nuevo, cada vez es más ciencia automatizada y menos arte creativa.

While the higher resolutions are great and do help in post, remember that the majority of what you see is not in 4K. Even if it's ultra hd TV once your at a certain distance from the screen it doesn't matter. Most content now is watched on mobile devices and you will not be seeing that in 4k. I'm all for capturing footage in the highest resolution possible, but when it comes to delivering, story still reigns supreme.

We fear automation dehumanizing art, and rightly so. A world of constantly churning content is dead internet theory become reality. But, a chirpy R2-D2 acting as a junior editor, handling the minutiae, will only enhance humanity. Organizing metadata and bins and—not the grade—but the correction. Making the multicams. Transcribing and enabling subject-matter categories. Currently I use a dozen AI tools to speed up everything from formulating raw story into loglines, patching flubbed lines, correcting eyelines, generating titles and hashtags with broadest appeal, and even hyper-iterating potential cutdowns based on transcripts. Used purposefully, AI is an editor’s bionic exoskeleton.

I currently use it to do paper edits of interview transcripts, after teaching it the way I like to tell stories. Then combining that with Resolve’s text-to-edit capabilities, it makes pulling together an assembly of an interview incredibly fast.

As a basis for professional workflow, this can be a time-saver for the Entertainment Industry. The craft of the colorist is still valued by every movie-goer.

I am a creative technologist and see the possibilities that all these methods bring. Human connection is still what matters, stories with heart, images that speak to our soul. Embrace these tools but the endgame is still what matters. Hardly anyone cares what Resolution camera was used, or ai, but make them feel something and that's what will be remembered.
