To stay present, practice grounding exercises such as concentrating on the feelings in hands or feet. Before the meeting, a quick body scan meditation might help people relax and relieve stress. Visualize a successful encounter to increase confidence. Use active listening techniques during the meeting to stay focused and less nervous about your answers. Keep a caring attitude and remember that making mistakes is a necessary part of learning. Under duress, these easy methods provide a cool, collected manner.

Set the intention of coming from a place of heart: seek to bless rather than impress & add as much value to others. I would affirm, “I am Doug Gordon, I am my heart. Let me connect with the hearts of the people I am about to meet to bless rather than impress”. That way you are stated to your subconscious that you are looking add value from a place of love rather than trying to look good from a place of ego (head). That way the energy you put out is about team, about win-win about creating positivity for the people around you. Also by coming from the heart rather than the head (ego sometimes), you will have less fear, less anxiety and less stress. So you will think, speak & act more calmly.
