Well the options need to be managed in advance from my experience.. if you get way-laid and can’t meet the travel schedule, there is usually a loss of flight money and the travel insurance won’t reimburse your additional costs..

Also not all travel insurance is the same. You should shop travel insurance just like you do for a car or home. I always get asked the what if. What if I don’t use it because there were no issues? I always ask, when was the last time you were in a car accident? Most will tell me they do not remember. Then I follow with yet you protect your car for the what if. So why not protect your vacation.
