Research is key! You start with the industry, the company, the leadership, and the interviewer too. Start by exploring the company’s website, paying close attention to their mission, vision, and recent news. Check out their social media channels to see their current focus. Dive into industry news to understand the market landscape and how the company is positioned within it. Also, don’t forget to research the interviewers themselves. Look up their profiles on LinkedIn to understand their roles, backgrounds, and interests. This helps in tailoring your responses and asking insightful questions.

Professional HR will always firstly ensure that while the interview process , candidates shall be kept comfortable and at ease prior having the techniques initiated. We prefer always to have STAR approach , which explore situation or task followed by actions and then results based on the candidates historical work experience and their achievements.

No amount of research is too much.. become a super-sleuth, a data detective. It may seem a little stalker-like but find out as much information as you can about the interviewer(s): LinkedIn is a great tool... find out where have they previously worked, who have they worked with? Check recommendations, posts, liked posts and comments Where have they studied? Any particular achievements? In doing this look for "hooks"... key points of shared interest or shared experience that can be brought up in the interview, either directly or more subtly or a mix; Next do the same for senior leadership within the company and for whoever the interviewer reports into, or is most likely to report into. Ask your recruiter or make an educated guess :)

When I interview candidates I always inquire about their knowledge of the company. Additionally, I would encourage candidates to incorporate past unique experiences of success that relate to the job position.
