I maintain detailed "Screening" scorecards for every candidate (locations, benefits, visas, etc.) This way, when time's tight, I'm not scrambling for basic info. Schedule reference calls early in the process (I learned this one the hard way). Nothing worse than having a perfect candidate lined up only to hit a snag with references at the 11th hour! And hey - zoom is great, I always hop on a quick call first. You'd be amazed what you can catch in a 10-min chat that might take weeks to surface otherwise. Remember, fast doesn't mean rushed.
