Teniendo claro adónde quieres llegar, la definición de la estrategia y el alineamiento de los equipos se facilita enormemente. Por tanto, para mi la clave está en: entender el problema - definir la(s) solución(es) - alinear recursos hacia las mismas.

Listen to be sure you understand each person’s point of view, their unique perspective, as well as trying to as retain their personal goals. With these insights, you can show them you’ve heard them and earn their respect and appreciation. Before presenting your ideas, voice the fundamentals and ask for confirmation you’ve got the basics right. This will more deeply enrol the audience in what you have to say because they’ve confirmed you’ve got the setup correct. Seek reaffirmation of the common goal to get everyone on the edge of their seat. Then lay out the implication (your contribution) positioned as the now evident conclusion taken from the fundamentals and common goal.

Being prepared and ahead on the topic you will discuss is key. Depending on the organisation you work for, some will send an agenda ahead of time and this will allow you to work on the preparation. Know the audience and have clear messages that will resonate with each stakeholders. Cover different angles as multiple stakeholders will be looking for different perspectives. Sometimes that was always helpful for me was to have a ROI and figures associated to each decision, just make sure the math is right and your message will be clear.
