Tbh as in many of my previous opinions, I have expressed - a well planned project / program hardly comes across something absolutely unforeseen. Even if it is - the golden rule stays the same which is keeping stakeholders apprised at all times not just for the challenge, its impact but also the corresponding plan to tackle it, with least possible changes to the original plans.

First thing to do, is to gather everyone and let them know about that whatever we’re introducing and the expected final output and that there will be an adaption curve and at first, it will bring more challenges than effiency. Managing peoples’s expectations early on, is the base foundation of change itself. Ensure that everyone is focused on bringing up the best of that new tool and know that at first, and before it starts returning, it will take more from everyone.

One thing I’ve found helpful when introducing new technology is fostering open communication. It’s crucial that team members feel comfortable sharing both successes and challenges. For example, when we introduced a new customer feedback tool, we created a shared space where team members could ask questions, share their experiences, and troubleshoot together. This made the transition smoother and ensured everyone felt supported. I disagree with the idea that training alone solves tech challenges. Ongoing support and feedback are just as important. In this case, we assigned tech-savvy individuals to offer continuous guidance, which reduced strain on IT and helped everyone adjust faster.

To tackle unforeseen challenges effectively: 1. Proactive Training: Ensure my team is well-trained on the new technology to minimize operational hiccups. 2. Flexible Approach: Be ready to adapt processes based on feedback and emerging issues. 3. Robust Support: Have a dedicated support system (internal or external) for troubleshooting. 4. Backup Plans: Maintain contingency plans for critical operations in case of tech-related disruptions. 5. Continuous Feedback: Regularly gather feedback from users to identify and address challenges early. 6. Monitor ROI: Track performance metrics to ensure the technology delivers the expected value.

Introducing new technologies is a change, and as such it should be treated as a process. For the change to be successful, staff must be involved and participate in the process. Once implemented, you have to be prepared to make adjustments so that everything flows and the teams can experience the positive changes.
