In any new development and product launch scenario, there are many uncertainties. Further in today's business world where products have become complex due to factors of technology, regulations, globalization, Customer choice etc etc; to launch a product many trade offs become essential. One works on edge of product performance. Keeping above broad points in mind, one way to contain delays in launch is anticipation. There are many tools available through which constraints can be visualized much ahead of times. Such insights have to be over laid on organization and individual past experiences to regularly assess project movement. Important anticipated deviations have to be discussed appropriately with all stake holders to resolve delays.

It is true delays in product launches are there but we should; - Leverage lessons learned from the previous product launches to ensure we set proper timelines that aligns with the reality, - Maintain consistence and proactive follow ups with all the stakeholders involved to ensure timely project’s readiness to the market - Provide regular progress updates at all stages to ensure involved parties are well informed, this will help to secure necessary support and mitigate avoidable delays from other stakeholders at some point.

Most product launch delays aren’t caused by the big, obvious risks - 𝗶𝘁'𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗰𝗸𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗺. Instead of just planning buffers, turn your launch into a stress test. Run a pre-mortem: What’s the worst that could happen? Where are the cracks in your supply chain, your approvals, your dependencies? The smartest teams treat delays as iterations, not failures. They have adaptive marketing plans, modular product rollouts, and a war room mentality. Don’t just react - anticipate. Risks and problems should be your friends, keep them close to you. First of all you must map the risks alongside your team and stakeholders, second, you are going to choose the ones most likely to happen and decide between: avoid, transfer, mitigate and accept. Of course, this decision will depend on the criticality of the project's impacts, as well as the available budget. Even so, be sure that there is a high probability of unmapped events arising and you will glhave to apply your resilience and problem-solving ability quickly, transparently and aligned with the team.
