Accountability is a word that often conjures up images of punishment or consequences. But in the context of coaching, accountability is a gift that keeps the client's goals and growth front and center. Effective coaching isn't just about gaining insights or making plans. It's about following through and doing the hard work to change behaviors and beliefs over time. And that's where accountability comes in. Throughout the coaching engagement, the coach helps the client make commitments and then lovingly and firmly holds them accountable for following through. The coach is the client's #1 champion and their #1 challenger. Even after the formal coaching wraps up, seeking out accountability partnerships is key to sustaining the growth. Who helps hold you accountable to being your best self? How could inviting more accountability accelerate your progress? #Accountability #FollowThrough #Coaching #100Coaches #BecomingCoachable #LeadershipDevelopment

As we enter a new year, many leaders are reflecting on their goals and how they want to grow. We believe that true growth requires openness in four key areas, a concept Marshall Goldsmith, Scott Osman and Jacquelyn Lane call the "Openness Framework" in their book Becoming Coachable: 1. Open to Change: Embracing a growth mindset and being willing to adapt 2. Open to Feedback: Proactively seeking out and listening to input from others 3. Open to Action: Having the courage to take steps outside your comfort zone 4. Open to Accountability: Inviting others to hold you to your commitments and goals As you set your leadership resolutions for the year ahead, consider how you could practice more openness. Where do you want to be by this time next year? What changes could help you get there? Who could support you on the journey? 🥂 Wishing all of our clients, coaches, and community a year of positive impact and learning! #NewYearLeadership #OpenLeadership #GrowthMindset #100Coaches #LeadershipGoals2024 #BecomingCoachable

A 360 assessment is often the first step in an executive coaching engagement - and for good reason. These assessments provide a rare opportunity to get candid, anonymized feedback from the people who work most closely with you. The insights gained from a 360 can be game-changing... if you're willing to listen with openness and curiosity. It's natural to feel defensive or to look for reasons to discount certain perspectives. But true learning comes from pattern-spotting across the feedback. What messages are you hearing over and over? What strengths can you double down on? What unproductive habits might be holding you back? Digging into a 360 with your coach is a powerful way to identify your leadership growth edge. When's the last time you got a 360-degree view of your leadership? #360Feedback #BlindSpots #LeadershipCoaching #100Coaches #BecomingCoachable

I’m excited to announce that Forbes has named me to their 30 Under 30 list! I want to share this recognition with my amazing team at 100 Coaches Agency. I feel so proud of what we have built together and the impact we have on our clients and the people they lead. Four years ago, we had a vision — to help the world’s greatest leaders find the best coaches to support them in maximizing their positive impact. This vision became the 100 Coaches Agency, which has revolutionized how top-tier leaders at Fortune 500 companies, governments, and entrepreneurial ventures access world-class coaching. There are a few people who make a disproportionate impact on the world — we call them leaders. In the past four years, we have positively impacted over 25 million people by connecting exceptional coaches with influential leaders, catalyzing a cascade through organizations and communities. In our book, Becoming Coachable, Scott, Marshall, and I call this Flourishing leadership, the kind that elevates employees, customers, self, and planet. I’m beyond grateful for my co-founder and closest collaborator, Scott Osman, without whom none of this would be possible. Thank you to Claire Diaz-Ortiz, the perfect addition to our leadership team and whom I admire in every way. Thank you to Patrick Steichen, Janice Gallen, Grace O'Hara, and Lisa Broderick whom I enjoy working with every day. No thank you would be complete without recognizing my mentor, co-author, and friend, Marshall Goldsmith. Marshall’s generosity is the lifeblood of the 100 Coaches Community, a collection of the world's top leaders, thinkers, and coaches with the shared purpose of improving leadership. I know that none of it would be possible without the (large) village who has shaped, elevated, and supported me every step of the way. Thank you to my husband, Michael, who shines a spotlight on me and plays countless behind the scenes roles. Thank you to my parents, Gary and Renee, for being my North Star. Thank you to my sisters, Rebecca and Kait, my best friends and biggest cheerleaders. And there are countless other friends, supporters, partners, and colleagues who make my life deeper and richer including Mark C. Thompson, Caroline Webb, Bill Carrier, Julie Carrier, Peter Bregman, Mark Parsells, Sanyin Siang, Keith Ferrazzi, Ayse (Eye-Shay) Birsel, Alisa Cohn, Connie Dieken, Prakash Raman, Jen Goldman-Wetzler, Dean Miles, Erica Dhawan, Chester Elton, Jennifer McCollum, Sally Helgesen, Nilofer Merchant, Bruce Kasanoff, Marcus Collins, Marc Sternberg, Frank Congiu, Christopher Rainey, Shane Kemp, Des Dearlove, and Naren Aryal. Together, we are changing the world one leader at a time. And we're just getting started. With love, gratitude, & wonder, Jacquelyn

It's hard to believe that it's been one year since the release of our Wall Street Journal bestselling book, Becoming Coachable! Scott Osman, Marshall Goldsmith, and I couldn't be more proud of this book. We are honored that so many have written or spoken to us about how much they enjoyed it and the impact that it's had on them. Those stories are what make all that work feel worthwhile. Even before writing a book, my favorite section in any book has always been the acknowledgments. I love hearing the stories of how a book comes to life and all the people who touched it along the way. So this video is my way of drawing attention to my favorite (but often overlooked) section. I hope you enjoy it. I have so much to be grateful for. Thank you to my village, my community, my friends who have been a part of this journey including Mark C. Thompson, Naren Aryal, Nina Spahn, Martin Lindstrom, Whitney Johnson, Sanyin Siang, Jim Yong Kim, Alexander Osterwalder, Chester Elton, Sally Helgesen, Nankhonde Kasonde-van den Broek, Hubert Joly, Ayse (Eye-Shay) Birsel, Peter Bregman, Srikumar Rao, Feyzi Fatehi, Harry Kraemer, Jr., Dorie Clark, Alisa Cohn, Sharon Melnick, Beverley Wright, John Reed, Morag Barrett, Connie Dieken, Beth Polish, Bill Carrier, John Sviokla, Prakash Raman, Doug Guthrie, Dr. Bonita Thompson, Tal Ben-Shahar, Michelle Johnston, Michelle Tillis Lederman, Dr. Noémie Le Pertel, mort aaronson, Jen Goldman-Wetzler, Julie Carrier, Bruce Kasanoff, and more! We're thrilled to announce Claire Diaz-Ortiz as our newest team member and Partner at 100 Coaches Agency. From co-authoring "One Minute Mentoring" to being named on the Thinkers50 Radar, Claire's journey aligns perfectly with our mission to provide world-class coaching to top executives. 👏 Join us in welcoming Claire to the 100 Coaches family! #ExecutiveCoaching #LeadershipDevelopment #100CoachesAgency
Some news! I recently became a partner at 100 Coaches Agency, the premier leadership firm dedicated to executive coaching. 💪 The background? Almost a decade ago, when I wasn’t sure what direction my career was going to take after leaving Twitter, a kind Adam Grant introduced me to two people: Simon Sinek, who helped me see I might like coaching, and Marshall Goldsmith, the world’s most-lauded executive coach, and the guy who, if you believe The New Yorker, more or less created the industry (and wore a green shirt, and only a green shirt, along the way). 😂 At the time, Marshall was thinking about his legacy, and had started a pay-it-forward program to teach a few dozen people everything he knew. Was I in? By happy coincidence, my introduction to executive coaching coincided with the year I published One Minute Mentoring: How How to Find and Work With a Mentor - And Why You'll Benefit from Being One with a mentor of my own, leadership guru Ken Blanchard. 📗 (That book, another wild ride, is now in 11 languages.) 🚀 Fast forward a few years, and Marshall had built a huge community of the best executive coaches in the world (and a few newbies, like me). Along the way, I made so many incredible friends in folks like Sanyin Siang Whitney Johnson Tasha Eurich Ayse (Eye-Shay) Birsel Alisa Cohn Julie Carrier Bill Carrier Eric Schurenberg Chester Elton Dr. David Burkus Sally Helgesen Peter Bregman Caroline Webb Michelle Tillis Lederman, CSP, SCC, Leadership Speaker Edy Greenblatt, PhD, PCC and, of course, Scott Osman (hint: keep reading). And we did so many incredible things! New York with the late Francis Hesselbein, the Presidential Freedom Winner who died at 106 after rewriting the rules of 20th century leadership. The World Bank with Jim Yong Kim. Mexican trapezes with Google's executive coaching pioneer, the late, great, David Peterson. Phoenix when it sizzled and London when it sleeted. ❄️ During my years in venture capital, there wasn’t a day that passed that I didn’t use the tools of executive coaching with founders. Last year, I was honored to be named to the Thinkers50 Radar list of leadership thinkers. The award was awesome, but even awesome-r (!) was the chance to reconnect with old friends. One of those friends was Scott Osman the founder of 100 Coaches Agency, the premier global firm specialized in executive coaching. With the leadership of Marshall Goldsmith and co-founder Jacquelyn Lane, the firm excelled in matching Fortune 1000 CEOS and C-suite executives with the world’s best executive coaches. We all soon decided to co-author a new book. (Their last, the The Wall Street Journal bestseller, Becoming Coachable, needed a friend.) Why Can’t They Be Like Me?, a business parable on executive coaching, is out in 2025! 📕 As we worked together, we began to wonder, and then we stopped wondering. 😂 In conclusion, congrats to myself for joining 100 Coaches Agency! https://lnkd.in/gRtJrN6Y
