Last week, our team (Nida Ansari & Grier Crossley) had the opportunity to attend an inspiring day focused on supporting Indiana's entrepreneurial ecosystem at the Indiana Economic Development Corporation ESO Summit. The event featured sharing best practices, insightful discussions, and invaluable networking opportunities.💡 The day concluded with the 2024 Yearbook Launch and a memorable reception celebrating this year’s honorees—a true testament to the incredible work happening across the state. You'll spot some familiar 16 Tech faces throughout the yearbook: Karen Wurster with Adipo Therapeutics, Glassboard, Ben Pidgeon (Indiana Venture Captial Investment Tax Credit Program), and gener8tor (gBETA Startup Accelerator). We look forward to taking these insights and connections forward as we continue to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in Indiana!

Since 2008, the Indy Winter Farmers Market has been a cornerstone for Indiana’s sustainably-minded farmers, food producers, and artisans, extending their selling season through the fall and winter months. As the only winter market in downtown Indianapolis, we’re proud to connect local farmers and vendors with our vibrant community, ensuring fresh, local food remains accessible all year long. Operated by 16 Tech Community Corporation, the nonprofit behind the 16 Tech Innovation District, this market bridges the gap between the community and local producers, creating a space for connection and opportunity. We'd like to recognize our sponsors. Your support makes this possible—thank you for helping us strengthen our local food system and celebrate the incredible talent in Indiana. This Monday, we hosted our very first Lunch and Learn at 16 Tech, and the turnout was incredible! Nearly 25 students joined us to explore opportunities through Purdue University's Interns for Indiana program, which connects students with local startups and organizations for meaningful internships. Adding to the excitement, a local founder, Maxine Henderson, set up in our café to serve beverages and share their entrepreneurial journey to creating Bollygood—a perfect example of collaboration in action! We’re thrilled to see such enthusiasm for programs that foster innovation, education, and community connections. And this is just the beginning! We were proud to host the #SeeYourselfIN Summit at the 16 Tech Innovation District today, a transformative program led by Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP). This initiative empowers Indiana high school students to explore careers, industries, and opportunities they might not have considered—or even known existed! With support from CICP’s talent and industry sector initiatives—AgriNovus Indiana, Ascend Indiana, BioCrossroads, Conexus Indiana, and TechPoint—and collaboration with the Indiana Department of Education and Ivy Tech Community College, this summit showcased Indiana’s thriving advanced industries to nearly 250 high school students. Cheers to our future innovators and an incredible event! 👏
