I have always admired creative people, but even more so when creativity meets humility, depth and a profound sense of purpose. John Paul Azzopardi is one such artist. I first encountered him almost five years ago through my work at MIDAS | On-demand concierge, where his work and words felt like a tapestry - layered, intricate and heavy with meaning. Today, I was fortunate enough to reconnect at his solo exhibition hosted by 2B Gallery & Joanna Delia. Paul has a rare ability to turn the discarded - bones, remnants of the forgotten - into sculptures that provoke thought, stir emotion and pull you into a meditative stillness. His works feel like mandalas, where time dissolves and your consciousness pulses in the now. He challenges us to see beyond the material, beyond the obvious. Investing in his work today is not only an appreciation of his genius but a belief in its inevitable place among the most sought-after creations of contemporary art. Thank you, Paul, for sharing your art and your quiet brilliance. Thank you to Joanna and Josh O'Cock for curating this space where creativity breathes freely. On a connected note, I was delighted to see Konrad Buhagiar and congratulate him, David Felice and AP Valletta on their recent award for the restoration of St Paul's Aglican Pro-Cathedral in Valletta - a triumph of architectural taste and heritage preservation. Konrad mentioned that while the exterior has been beautifully restored, the interior remains a challenge, with scarce funds stalling its completion. To those who cherish cultural heritage and have the means, connections or influence: this is a cause worthy of your attention. Such spaces carry the weight of Maltese history and the spirit of our shared future.
