Recently, NeQter Labs joined with 3Comply to meet with representatives from our Senator's office to discuss the status of #CMMC with a focus on Contractor fatigue and a floundering CMMC ecosystem as a result of sliding deadlines and little to no enforcement. 📅⚖ The #rulemaking process and slow implementation of the program have negatively affected small businesses like ourselves who have made huge investments in technology, training and certification in support of the DoD’s efforts to secure the DIB. 🛡 The Senator’s representatives shared that most of the comments they are hearing are still around the cost of implementation and how onerous it is for small businesses. We all agreed that while the cost of meeting CMMC requirements is a concern for the OSC’s themselves, the cost of not getting CMMC over the finish line has far reaching implications for both the CMMC support ecosystem and #DoD itself. 💰 We want to thank the Senators office for its willingness to get feedback from us and others in the space and to hear our request to nudge the CMMC initiative over the finish line. 🏛👏 #smallbusiness #cybersecurity #leadership
