In a competitive bid to provide titanium to the US defense industrial base (DIB), critical mineral #additivemanufacturing powders supplier IperionX has received a $47.1 million contract from the United States Department of Defense. Over two years, the DoD and IperionX will fund a two-phase development program with up to $70.7 million, with IperionX providing the rest of the investment. Matt Kremenetsky reports.

With the opening of its new Additive Manufacturing Products facility in Florida, ATI, Inc. is positioning itself as a key supplier of #AM-enabled components for defense and aerospace applications. As Michael Molitch-Hou reports, the 132,000-square-foot site is designed to vertically integrate multiple stages of metal #3Dprinting, including design, heat treatment, machining, and inspection.

Additive construction company ICON has secured $56 million in Series C funding, with plans to raise up to $75 million in additional funds to support its line of multi-story #3Dprinters. As Michael Molitch-Hou reports, this funding round follows a recent announcement of a workforce reduction at ICON, framed as a strategic realignment to focus on key growth priorities.
