Emily McCarthy generously donated over 1,000 pieces of new clothing to Union Mission, supporting women and children in programs like Parker’s House, the Don and Kaye Kole Magdalene House, Barnes Center, and Dutchtown Campus Apartments. Their team also cohosted an event where clients could select and style outfits at no cost. "Our brand mission to bring confidence and joy to all women in our community came to life working with Union Mission,” said Emily. Union Mission is grateful for this partnership and the positive impact it has had on our clients' lives.

Thank you Savannah, family, friends and our supporters for all that you do and trusting our organization, 4 the Jewel N U Global, Inc. ... working together works FACTS ... Advising someone on how to handle a domestic violence situation could lead to legal consequences. If the advice given results in harm, the person who provided the advice could be held liable. Specialized Training - Healthy Boundaries While Living in a Shelter Healthy boundaries in a shelter are crucial for creating a safe, respectful, and supportive environment that fosters healing, personal growth, and empowerment for all residents. These boundaries help ensure that everyone within the shelter can work towards recovery and independence in a structured and respectful setting. We will continue to explore the importance of setting and maintaining healthy boundaries to enhance residents' shelter experience and journey towards a brighter future. In the past month, 4 the Jewel N U Global, in partnership with Union Mission Inc Parker's House a Home for Women, has been dedicated to promoting healthy boundaries within our shelter. Through interactive activities, residents participate in role-playing different scenarios, allowing us to laugh (at ourselves and others), shed tears together, and tackle important issues together in a safe non-judgmental environment. Thank you Michael Traynor for all you and your team do ... #healthylifestyle #healthyboundaries #healthyboundariesmatter #shelterliving #UnionMission #4thejewelnu #Voice2Voice #imatter #domesticviolencesurvior #domesticviolenceawareness

4 the Jewel N U, in partnership with the Savannah SAFE SHELTER CENTER FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SERVICES INC understands the importance of creating healthy boundaries in a domestic violence shelter. This process is challenging because it involves navigating the residual effects of trauma, rebuilding self-worth, and learning to trust oneself and others again. By focusing on "D.E.A.R. ME" (Dignity, Empowerment, and Respect), we can foster an environment that supports survivors in their journey to reclaim their lives and establish the boundaries necessary for their safety and well-being. It’s a gradual process that requires patience, compassion, and unwavering support from the entire community. We understand we are better together, working together works ... WHAT DO YOU THINK? Please be respectful of others opinions and/or beliefs ... PUBLIC PERCEPTION & SIGNATIZATION: The perception that homelessness causes violence can also be influenced by societal stigmas and stereotypes. People may wrongly associate homelessness with criminal behavior, leading to a belief that their presence increases violence. However, it's important to note that this is a complex issue. Many studies have shown that homelessness itself is not a direct cause of violence. Addressing homelessness through comprehensive support services, including mental health care, substance abuse treatment, and housing assistance, is crucial. Specifically, providing safe housing and support for domestic violence survivors can significantly reduce their risk of becoming homeless and experiencing further violence. By understanding and addressing the root causes of both domestic violence and homelessness, we can create a safer and more supportive community for all. On behalf of 4 the Jewel N U Global, Inc. we are grateful for solid partnerships with @Union Mission, @SAFE Shelter, Center for Domestic Violence Services, Inc., and Divine Rest, Incorporated
