  • What makes you want to give up? It happens to all of us. There is a list as long as the Nile of reasons to quit. It’s in those times you have to dig down deep and remember the original reason you started. During a recent interview our Co-Founder, Dr. Ishnella Kaur Azad, quoted a song from her favorite band, Journey, saying, “Don’t stop believing.” Although stated light heartedly she later wanted to make sure the full gravity and reality of those words were heard. . “There will be times that life knocks you down seemingly from every angle. You have to step back, take a breath find the help you need and move forward.” . She used this attitude to grow 5Rivers CRE, LLC from 240M AUM at the beginning of the pandemic, to over $750M AUM present day. While we all experience the feeling of fear and uncertainty, Dr. Azad and her team forged ahead rapidly growing 5Rivers CRE, LLC and launching an innovative data center startup, Data Journey. .   • The Christmas Tree lighting and Christmas Parade at our Shoppes at East Chase Property in Montgomery, Alabama was one for the record books. With close to 20,000 attendees and hundreds of parade participants our property manager Richard Holman and his team did an amazing job ensuring a fun, safe and festive event for the families of the community. MERRY Christmas!

  • We make sure that our tenants know we are always thinking of how to bring more foot traffic to their stores. One great example is the Christmas parade we do at our Fayette Pavilion property in which over 20,000 people attend to watch the lighting of the Christmas tree. Thanks George Weatherall our Director of Leasing for always making sure our tenants have the best shops to call their business home.

  • Our power center portfolio consists of several retailers that you know as national chains. We love having a tenant mix with both smaller new businesses, and these nationally recognized brands. From an investor standpoint, it provides security in our portfolio to have these national brands. From a customer standpoint having both recognizable brands and smaller, newer businesses mixed in one place makes for a unique and enjoyable shopping experience. For our tenants, it’s advantageous for the smaller businesses to have traffic from the nationally recognized chains while for the nationally recognized chains it’s beneficial to have smaller businesses drawing in new types of customers. This win-win-win scenario is the ideal set up in our portfolio.
