  • 🤨 Rebuild equipment in the field? 👍 Here's what you need to know! We are often asked if we can rebuild equipment in the field. In short, whether it is a pump or motor, most of the time the answer is: Yes, we can. In fact, sometimes it's necessary. But there are often advantages to removing the equipment from the site and rebuilding in a shop environment. Some of those include: ➡ Better ability to clean, bake, and test windings in a motor ➡ Opportunity to core loss test stator and test rotor bars ➡ Ability to dynamically balance rotating assembly ➡ Ability to sandblast pump parts for better inspection and machined fit measurement ➡ Access to full machine shop if parts need to be brought back to factory tolerances In short, A&W is prepared with dedicated field services to handle turnkey projects. This often includes removal, repair, installation, commissioning, and laser alignment. While we are prepared to rebuild equipment in the field, we often find it is to your advantage to have the repair work done in a dedicated shop environment. For more details on the advantages and disadvantages of field-based repair, please email tim@aandwelectric.com.
