Updated PT test! tried to make the "spray bottle" water to remove excess penetrant, but got a rag-sim to work, so its going back to a can of cleaner. Pretty neat!!! #HandsOnNDTBootCamp

Want to try out a free quiz from our API 510 Course? Try it below! The Site name is a placeholder, so it looks strange.. 40 questions, no timer. Can be done on mobile or PC, but there are a few math questions... https://lnkd.in/g7UUJ3wh

Here is a pretty neat, but early, demo of UT in VR. Once you know the speed of the ball (2 feet per second) and a known distance (like a step wedge), you can be calibrated for for 4' to 10' distances like in this VR demo. Next phase is to pick a set distance, all the lights go out, and you only see the red ball. you have to go around and find the discontinuity. Next is Shearwave and PhasedArray. Here, you are the UT machine.
Brian Halata Help, something went wrong.
Here are the other things that are new to the app! First photo is the main page. Second photo is the new UG and IQI selection helper, type in values as a quick reference when you are away from your book. Third photo is a barricade calculator for IR-192 Fourth photo, it's a API field notes helper thing. It takes basic question regarding the type of inspection (510/570/653), asks you questions based on that inspection, with a information panel on the right. Questions and Helper info are stored on my server, so more questions, or better detailed helper notes can be adjusted and grow. The neat part about this is, you can use your phones talk to text feature! Just press the button and say your report. Once all (or some) of the questions are completed, you press Email. This takes Each question, and then the answer and combines it into a text email. followed by JUST the answers, as a quick summary reference to copy and paste if it's ok. With just text, it shouldn't get flagged by work computers or anything crazy for phishing. So work computers don't get weird files, or make you go to unauthorized sites.

The Crookes tube, an early experimental electrical discharge tube, played a crucial role in the groundbreaking discoveries by Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen. Using this ingenious device, Röntgen discovered a new form of radiation, which he famously named X-rays. The name 'X-rays' was chosen because 'X' symbolizes the unknown in mathematics, reflecting the mysterious nature of these rays at the time of their discovery. A crucial moment in Röntgen's research was when he noticed a nearby painting in his room glowing while experimenting with the Crookes tube. This unexpected phenomenon led him to further investigate and ultimately identify X-rays, revolutionizing medical imaging and numerous other fields. In my VR demo, I dive deep into how the Crookes tube works and its impact on Röntgen's research, including that remarkable moment of the glowing painting. This immersive experience is designed to bring history to life, offering a unique way to understand the scientific principles and the historical context behind this monumental discovery. Next up, Henri Becquerel, Marie Curie, Pierre Curie, and Ernest Rutherford. Want to help build it with Sean LaRue and myself? Xray in VR progress. Some of the actions will be changed out, right now it's just functional in the demo, and will not be the final product (The cranks, and the film processing specifically). But pretty exciting! Again, it's probably about 60% done. Feedback is more than welcomed. Strapping film and film processing are the big things that need to be done in a specific way. Want to sponsor and have your logo in it? Let's talk 😎 #ASNT #Xray #Inspection #OilAndGas #API #QSA
Pretty neat tool in the works. This is a demo for either field notes or API report summary helper. You tell me! Added some basic questions and you can type it in or use voice to text. Once you are ready to send, you hit "email". it then copies all the questions, followed by the answers, and then JUST the answers into a text format for email. What this allows is the ability to send your work email the data without being flagged with weird attachments. No files to download, and no website you need to go to. just text. Don't even have to talk about proprietary information. I don't think it's a game changing tool, but I would have liked it when I was doing MI/Reliability inspections. It's going on the app, just need to change a few things! But would love your feedback/ideas.
