International Journal of E-Learning (IJEL) Seeks New Editor Applications Due: December 20, 2024 For More Details, visit: https://lnkd.in/g9HGCZAD IJEL is a peer-reviewed journal that aims to facilitate the international exchange of information on the current research, development, and practice of e-learning. IJEL publishes theoretical and empirical studies on the technological advances and growth of e-learning that provide educators and trainers with unique opportunities to enhance learning and teaching across multiple domains including but not limited to corporate, government, healthcare, PreK-12, and higher education. Led by an Editorial Review Board of leaders in the field of e-learning, the Journal is designed for the following audiences: researchers, developers, and practitioners in corporate, government, healthcare, and higher education. IJEL is an official journal of AACE. It is affiliated with the EdMedia Conference and the eLearn Conference. The responsibilities of the editor(s) include: ● Overseeing and managing a rigorous review process, making final decisions on acceptance and rejection of articles ● Demonstrating a strong knowledge of the field ● Providing guidance to authors for preparing and submitting manuscripts ● Opportunity to write editorials accompany selected issues/volumes ● Meeting publication deadlines ● Leading and attending meetings as needed ● Recruiting reviewers ● Promoting the journal and recruiting manuscripts as needed ● Collaborating with other AACE Editors as appropriate ● Create and support special issues; provide guidance and oversight for special issue guest editors. ● Partner with the AACE Director of Publication on important journal needs (i.e., indexing, marketing, ethics, conference affiliation) Desired qualifications for this position include: ● Demonstrated successful editorial experience ● Ability to oversee and manage rigorous review process and meet deadlines ● Ability to work collaboratively, including a history of working with AACE/NTLS/SITE communities ● Track record of substantial publications in high quality, peer-reviewed journals ● Extensive experience as a reviewer for journals and conferences International reputation or growing international reputation in the field. Review of applications will begin in December and continue until the position is filled.

So grateful to have attended the eLearn2024 Conference – World Conference on EdTech, organized by the Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education (AACE) in Singapore. It was an incredible experience presenting the research I’ve been working on with my supervisor Tang T. Heng and engaging with researchers and practitioners from over 30 countries, exploring the latest developments in EdTech and Gen AI. I was truly honored to meet and learn from renowned experts in the field, including Curtis Bonk (one of my favourite professors from IU), Cecilia K. Y. Chan, Elliot Soloway, Cathie Norris, Helen Crompton, Jon Mason, Theo Bastiaens, ABTAR SINGH, and Lillian Koh.
